In 1983, the Village of Magnetic Springs celebrated its centennial with the Water Festival, commemorated with a sign at the entrance to the Village from the south on S.R. 37.
In 2033, the Village will reach the 150 year milestone, the Sesquicentennial of the Village. Preparations are beginning now in order to host a festival that year. The plan below provides 10 “pillars” of focus – areas where we, the proud residents, can all chip in and make a huge difference in the appearance, continuity, and well-being of the Village we all love:
- Community Engagement
- Zoning
- Public Spaces
- Economic Development
- Growth
- Community Partnerships
- Education
- Transportation
- Health
- Connectivity
Council will begin forming several committees in 2024 to start work towards accomplishing these specific goals prior to 2033. YOU are strongly encouraged to step up and make a difference by helping your community shine! Each part of the plan depends on and/or completes other parts, so working together will be critical.
